Junior Livestock Department Rules
8 - 21 years of age or in 3rd grade on or before September 1 of previous year
Registration papers are required for All Purebred Livestock in the name of the Junior Exhibitor. Must be made available for inspection and remain in Exhibitors' possession for duration of fair. Photocopies of registration papers not acceptable. Entered in breeding classes must be purebred and be born between January 1st and April 1st of current year.

Exception - Breeding Gilt, Market Barrow, and Market Gilt limited to 2 per class
All animals must be owned and registered by exhibitor for 30 days prior to opening of Fair.
Arrival of Animals
Must be in pen by 12:00 PM Wednesday of Fair
Mature Sow - any female has farrowed at least one litter
Crosbred Gilts - not allowed in purebred classes
Market Gilts - cannot be shown in breeding stock classes
ALL EXHIBITORS MUST USE WOOD SHAVINGS AS MANDATORY BEDDING - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Please use dumpsters stationed at each barn for manure, ONLY.
WEIGH IN - Wednesday, August 26th 12:00 PM
Purebred Barrow papers must be presented at time of weigh-in. Barrows without papers automatically added crossbred barrow classes.
Market Classes divided into classes by weight, as superintendent sees fit. All pair classes will split by combined weight, not average weight.
Sub Classes - determined by Superintendent
Weight Class - 5033, 5063, 5093, 5123, 5153, 5183, 5213, & 5243 no more than 1 sub class
Weight Class - 5273 & 5276 no more than 2 sub classes
